Code of Conduct – Parents and Supporters

SABU LogosmallSpectators / Parents and supporters will at all times:
1 Accept any mistakes as part of their learning process. Remember they are playing for their enjoyment not yours. Children play baseball for fun.
2 Don’t leave your child at baseball, stay and support the team, volunteer to help and discuss your child’s progress with the coaches.
3 Applaud good play from both teams and encourage your child to accept that ones effort is as important as victory
4 Encourage your child / player to always play within the rules of baseball and accept the umpire’s decision.
5 Never ridicule, abuse or yell at a player for making a mistake or losing a game.
6 Offensive behaviour from parents or supporters is not acceptable under the Rules of Baseball and stern action will be taken against offenders.
7 Recognise the value and importance of the volunteer coaches and officials. They give their time and knowledge to provide organised baseball and deserve respect and support. Abuse of either coaches and/or umpires will not be tolerated.
8 Baseball is a team game. Accept and understand that at times players may be asked to take a turn on the bench.
9 Not all children can be champions. Do not force an unwilling child to participate in baseball or expect more from your child than their best efforts.
10 If you disagree with an official or coach, raise the issue through the appropriate channels rather than question the person in public
11 Foul language will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
All Parents / Spectators and Supporters will abide by these rules at all times
